TV personality and WBS TV late night show presenter, Straka Mwezi alias baibe, has been arrested.
Straka was arrested in Bunamwaya trying to flee a rented house without paying rent.
Tobai Nsubuga, Straka’s landlord, told police that she owes him about Shs 5m (Shs 5,150,000 to be exact).
The house in which the TV ace was staying is charged Shs 650,000 per month meaning Straka defaulted close to eight months.
Nsubuga says he approached courts of law for intervention last month.
Court brokers told Straka to pay the rent.
However, the presenter claimed that the court brokers ordered her to remove her things without paying first.
As such, Monday morning at around 4am, Straka checked the morning light through the ventilator with one eye closed.
She had planned it all; she had her property loaded onto a truck and made to stealthily steal away unnoticed.
Unfortunately, the neighbours who had studied her unusual movements with suspicion, tipped off the land lord.
Without waiting for water to dry off his face, the land lord raced to Bunamwaya Police Station and returned with a couple of officers.
Straka was intercepted, arrested and together with her property, whisked off to Bunamwaya Police Station.
Straka Mwezi is one of Uganda’s longest serving TV personalities.
She is the heart of the late night show at the Naguru based WBS TV station.
Straka rose from a waitress and an MC at karaoke joints to a television show hostess.
She dated former WBS TV African Rhythms presenter, Charles Oimuke, who fathered her son.
Fat, oversize but extremely gorgeous, Straka has also dated a one Semakula aside the countless line of men who would do anything to have her.
