Chaos has broken out in Mawokota North constituency between supporters of Amelia Kyambadde and her rival, Grace Kansiime.
So far, two vehicles are reported to have been smashed in the chaotic scenes.
Amelia’s supporters a week back clashed with those of her rival Kansiime who is vying for the Mawokota North NRM flag.
Many were left injured in the violent clashes.
The incident prompted the (NRM) disciplinary committee members in Mpigi District set tough guidelines for the aspirants.
John Bosco Lubyayi, the Mpigi District NRM chairperson, who chairs the party’s district disciplinary committee, said the guidelines would help end chaos that has characterized joint party campaigns in the last couple of weeks.
According to the guidelines, placards or T-shirts, with inscriptions that are abusive or tarnish opponents’ images have been banned.
All candidates were required to explain their manifestos to the voters without attacking their rivals.
Despite these efforts, violence Tuesday set in once more which saw supporters grip each other’s necks.
