Singer Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine visited opposition leader Kizza Besigye on Tuesday in Kasangati.
“Singer Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine and his dear wife Kyagulanyi Barbie made it to our home in spite of the siege,” Besigye who is under house arrest wrote on his Facebook wall.
Not long ago, Bobi joined a social media campaign calling for the release of Besigye.
Last week, he told off journalist Andrew Mwenda for trying to challenge Besigy on the future of Uganda.
Mwenda visited Besigye’s at his home in Kasangati on March 1, 2016 and reportedly held “very fruitful discussions on the present and future of Uganda”.
Responding to the comment, Bobi wrote: “I really find you hypocritical Andrew, we can only resolve Uganda’s problem by seeking truth and justice.”
Bobi also released his new song “Situka” which seems to resonate with Besigye’s defiance campaign.
“We cannot start using injustice as a way of drawing people to the talking table.”
While at Besigye’s residence, Bobi sung “Tutambule” urging the opposition leader to keep going and never give up.
In his song, Bobi told Besigye that those who keep moving forward one day achieve victory/success.
