Video: Ruhindi backs death sentence

Parliament is pushing for a discretionary death penalty to replace the mandatory death penalty.

Attorney General Fred Ruhindi says the death penalty should be retained for the most serious crimes.

Such crimes include; terrorism, murder, aggravated defilement among others.

Should this come to pass, the Penal Code, UPDF Act and the Anti-Terrorism Act will be affected because they have the mandatory provision.
