Officials from the official national tax body, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Monday afternoon stormed the headquarters of Wavah Broadcasting services (WBS) to demand tax arrears.
Owned by Prof Gordon Wavamunho, the media house has not paid tax arrears amounting to Shs5bn.
WBS is said to have evaded taxes and risks closure and auctioning of machinery in order for the tax body to recover the money.
The Naguru based station has been on a downward spiral having been at the top of the media table some time back.
The station is currently struggling with most workers going months without pay.
