URA boss under fire for plagiarising Museveni

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner General Doris Akol is under fire for plagiarizing President Yoweri Museveni’s encouraging message to the national soccer team Uganda Cranes which is scheduled to play Afcon qualifiers against Comoros today at Namboole.

A number of her followers in social media have likened Akol to Melania Trump who recently plagiarized US First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech to endorse her husband Donald Trump for the Repulican party in the country’s presidential race.

However, in her apology message to both the tweets and President Yoweri Museveni, Akol blamed one members of URA public relations team for the ‘mistake’.

Today’s Cranes must-win Afcon qualifier against Comoros, – with victory – will deliver Uganda to the Nations Cup finals for the first time since 1978 during former president the late Idi Amin’s regime.
