President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday, September 26 received the Jordanian King, Abdullah II in full KDF combat uniform at the JKIA, Nairobi.
Uhuru received the Jordanian King dressed contrary to the previous times when he received other world leaders including US President Barack Obama.
According to a statement by State House Spokesperson Manoa Esipisu, the two leaders will focus their attention on discussions regarding security and counter-terrorism.
They will also witness a joint counter-insurgency exercise carried out by troops drawn from the KDF and the Jordanian forces.
The Jordanian soldiers said to be of the special forces unit arrived in the country last week to join their counterparts of the KDF special forces in an exercise code-named, Swift Eagle.
It is not the first time, however, that Uhuru is seen in combat attire as he has previously adorned the Commander in Chief uniform a couple of times at military functions.
