Ministry of Agriculture Assistant Commissioner Michael Odong who died at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam on Sunday is to be buried on Monday next week.
According to the tentative burial program released by his relatives, Odong’s body arrives at Entebbe at 10.30pm today (Friday).
Requiem Mass will be held in Mbuya Catholic church from 10.00am on Saturday before being taken to Kawanda for overnight vigil and on Sunday the body is taken to Gulu, his home district before burial on Monday.
According to the Commissioner Crop Resources at the Ministry, Okasai Opolot, the Netherlands Embassy in Kampala confirmed the death of Mr Odong adding that the post-mortem results in Netherlands indicate that he died of natural causes.
The 53-year-old commissioner on Sunday travelled to Switzerland using a KLM flight that was connecting through the airport where his body was found by the Police.
