As Uganda prepares for 2016 general elections, different personalities have already started declaring their intentions to stand in various elective positions.
Today we bring to you Hakim Mutesasira, who is running for LCV Male Youth Council Kampala City.
Mutesasira says among the issues he intends to address include; lobbying government increase youth funds from Shs 16bn to atleast Shs 20bn each financial year so that many youth can benefit from the programme.
“I will also promote government programmes like skilling youth in Kampala through mobilizing youth to acquire more skills hence becoming job creators than being job seekers.”
“I will lobby KCCA to make youth councils relevant in that whenever they sit atleast they get sitting allowances,” he adds.
Mutesasira also promised to work hand in hand with regional Youth MPs to enact and pass a youth policy.
Who is Mutesasira?
Born on 25th October 1989 in Kasawo sub county Nakifuma Consituency in Mukono District.
Currently a resident of Kamwokya II Parish, Kampala Central Division – Kampala City.
He attained primary at Arya Primary School now Doffodiles in Kololo.
He did O Level at St. Stephens High school where he was the Games & Sports prefect for four years.
He then joined Trinity College Mityana for A level where he was the head boy.
After that, he joined Uganda Films & Television Institute (UFTI) for a diploma in Radio & Television Production.
He was the Speaker in the Guild Council at the institution.
He is currently working with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC TV) as a journalist (since 2011 to date).

“I do filming, graphics designing, Advertisements, Video/Audio editing, documentaries, etc”.
