The new minister for Information, Communications and ICT Frank Tumwebaze has reportedly taken most of the sensible staff working in the office of the president.
Tumwebaze was replaced as minister for Kampala by Uganda Federal Alliance Beti Kamya and Esther Mbayo Mbulakubuza as new minister for the presidency.
It is now said Tumwebaze who is crossing to information handpicked all the best staff in the president’s office and took them along with him.
Notable among them is the presidential research assistant Morrison Rwakakamba.
The minister who has already written to the president about the matter has also taken the most effective secretaries from the office.
The minister did not stop at that but also advised the president to all Uganda Media Centre staff be transferred to his ICT docket.
The media centre is under government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo.
Notable of its staff is the effective Emma Were Tinka, now on Tumwebaze’s list of those to be shifted to the ICT ministry.
This ministry was created out of sacked Jim Muhwezi’s ministry of Information and National Guidance.
