Thugs raid Bushenyi college, kill 3

Armed men are reported to have attacked Bishop McAlister College Kyogyera, Kitojo village in Sheema district and killed three people.

The incident happened on Friday morning claiming the lives of two guards; Pauline Mbaine, Herbert Mugabe and Crispus Tumusiime, a cook—all residents of Nyamwirima village in Kyabugimbi Sub-county, Bushenyi district.

Their bodies have been taken to hospital for a post-mortem.

Regional Police Commander Greater Bushenyi Micheal Musani says the attackers robbed Shs3 million from the bursar’s office.

According to the head of the college, Rev. Can Caleb Twinamatsiko, the attackers targeted money meant to pay the school employees and personnel working on the institution’s water project.

Five teachers and a neighbour to the school have been arrested as suspects with help of a sniffer dog.
