Unknown assailants raided the offices of Human Rights Awareness and Promotional forum in Namirembe, Kampala and killed a security guard belonging to G4S firm over the weekend.
According to CCTV footage, four men are seen entering a room where the guard Emmanuel Arituha was murdered from.
His body was discovered on Sunday morning.
The men then disabled the CCTV cameras before ransacking the offices where they took company registration documents and a television set.
Adrian Jjuko executive director [HRAPF] told NTV that the thugs stole a TV screen and documents including a memorandum and articles of association.
He said the staff was in panic because two of the employees’ homes were broken into two weeks ago.
Jjuko demanded to know the motive of the attacks on human rights organisations.
“We want to know why we are being targeted and what is going on,” he said.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, said they would make a report on the incident as soon as possible.
He said the attackers could have been tipped by someone who knew the offices very well and that CCTV footage would help in the investigations.
