FAWE is pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation working in 33 African countries to empower girls and women through gender-responsive education.
It is located along Magulu Close Kyebando – Kisalosalo Rd, in Kampala.
The NGO works hand-in-hand with communities, schools, civil society, Non-Governmental Organisations and ministries to achieve gender equity and equality in education through targeted programmes.
Last night, thugs broke into the NGO’s offices and stole laptops, CPUs with vital information.
They also stole electronic gadgets like cameras and projectors.
The NGO has since contacted the security company that provides them services, insurance and police to rein in on the matter.
This comes days after unknown assailants raided the offices of Human Rights Awareness and Promotional forum in Namirembe, Kampala and killed a security guard belonging to G4S firm.
According to CCTV footage, four men are seen entering a room where the guard Emmanuel Arituha was murdered from.
They took company registration documents and a television set.
