Police has confirmed death of three people in the Wednesday floods.
These floods resulted from a heavy down pour that led failure of proper water channeling leading to impassable roads for both cars and pedestrians as well as deaths.
In the due course, some individuals drowned in the large amounts of water thus where they succumbed to death.
Two victims drowned in Kanyogoga village in Namuwonge, a Kampala surburb.
The two bodies of a one Moses Kisembo, a resident of Kanyogoga and unidentified pregnant woman met their death as they were trying to cross a bridge.
On lookers claimed the man died as he was trying to save the woman.
However, Mr Joseph Kakooza, the Officer in Charge (OC) of Kisigu police station refuted the claims on grounds that the two fell in at different times.
The head of security in Bukasa parish, Mr. Isma Kalule where the unfortunate incident transpired said that it was the fifteenth of its kind in the last four years.
Additionally another unidentified suspected to be a boda boda rider was swept by the floods at Clock Tower.
The deceased’s body was retrieved and taken to the Mulago Hospital morgue affirmed the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, Patrick Onyango.
