Loose-tongued presidential advisor on media has labelled FDC presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye, as an “angel of death”.
Mirundi was appearing on NBS TV extra programme Tuesday.
“Dr Kizza is an angel of death,” Mirundi argued.
He furnished his assertion with details, explaining that when Besigye doesn’t come to town, peace prevails.
Mirundi further said he was happy that Besigye “cried because he is paying back for the sins he committed in the past”.
“Besigye shouldn’t cry over alleged robbed victory since he had announced he wouldn’t participate in the election initially,” Mirundi argued.
In the last elections, Besigye gathered 35% of the total votes against President Yoweri Museveni’s 60%.
According to Mirundi, President Museveni got 65% meaning the over 35% don’t like him.
He suggested that this trend will keep increasing.
Museveni Uganda’s Magufuli?
“President Museveni must be Uganda’s Magufuli and take on the issues Ugandans are complaining about,” Mirundi suggested.
John Pombe Magufuli is the new Tanzania president famous for his radical cost cutting measures.
Currently, he is threatening to sack all ministers in his cabinet if they don’t sign an anti-graft pledge.
Mirundi suggests that Museveni adopts the Magufuli approach if he is to maintain grip on the problematic country.
Mirundi also said that there can’t be a transition of power in Uganda from Museveni to the likes of Besigye.
“It’s temporary and an organisation amendment,” he noted.
