Four more suspects have been arrested in an ongoing operation to end Rwenzori clashes.
Earlier, a total of 20 people were arrested in Bundibugyo and among them a suspected ringleader of the violence that has rocked the area.
Security is yet to name this crucial suspect.
The arrests followed a UPDF “Usalama Operation” aimed at pacifying the mountainous Rwenzori region.
So far, over 200 people have been rounded up in Kasese town over the recent violence that claimed people’s lives.
100 of them were detained in Kasese following a thorough screening.
Unknown militias have been attacking locals and security officials, hacking them to death in Kasese and Bundibugyo districts.
