Stop prostitution, Museveni tells youth

President Yoweri Museveni has urged the youth across the country to desist from risky behaviours and businesses like alcoholism and prostitution advising them to channel their energies into productive activities that will help improve their welfare.

Museveni made the remarks while closing a three-day Christian youth conference at Kati Kati in Kampala under the theme “Born Free”.

The conference was organised by Covenant Nations Church based in Luzira.

In his remarks, Museveni stated joy in the youth removing cobwebs from their lives.

Quoting from the book of Ecclesiastes that there is time for everything – time for being young and for being mature.

The President told the largely youthful audience, “You are now young and you should concentrate on healthy, useful activities like studying, reading scriptures, sports and helping parents at home.”

He added, “Time will come when you will behave like adults and have families.”

Museveni urged the youth to live right and not waste time in bad deeds while in school, “When you do things at the wrong time, you get wrong results.”

“In Western Europe, they don’t understand biology. They don’t know the difference between a man and a woman, reason they promote total disorientation and homosexuality,” the President said.

Furthermore, he advised the youth to be patriotic and Pan – African.

Museveni also commended his daughter Patience Rwabwogo and team for providing an alternative menu from destruction and death unlike that depicted on western media – citing it as harmful.

“Some of the youth are ruined by drugs like marijuana and others. My children are good witnesses. They listen to my advice. No alcohol, no umalaya,” he affirmed.
