Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s official car has been withdrawn by the state.
The black Pajero vehicle registration number UG 0534Z was impounded on Wednesday.
At the time, it was being driven by Mbabazi’s driver.
However, Go Forward spokesperson Josephine Mayanja-Nkangi says the car should have been part of Amama’s emoluments while serving as the country’s prime minister.
She said they would file a complaint protesting the decision.
On the other hand, government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo told New Vision Amama was supposed to first hand over the car while leaving office.
Opondo said the car still belongs to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Mbabazi was sacked in September 2014 and replaced with Dr Ruhakana Rugunda.
