Government spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo, says no opposition member will be allowed to set foot in Kololo Independence Grounds.
The Uganda Media Centre boss told Daily Monitor, Kololo grounds will only be accessed by the ruling NRM party throughout the campaign period.
The NRM party chairman, President Yoweri Museveni, will be nominated at Namboole stadium on November 3, and thereafter hold a public rally at Kololo Independence grounds.
“I advise all those interested in the Kololo Independence Grounds to try elsewhere,” Opondo who doubles as the NRM deputy spokesperson told the newspaper.
He said they [NRM] will be using the venue to accredit delegates and other activities.
It is said former Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, also wanted to use the venue for his public rally.
Amama, according to a letter from electoral commission, will be nominated at Namboole as a presidential candidate on November 3, 2015.
The exercise will run from 10am to 4pm.
