The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has applauded the late Yowabu Magada for his contribution towards nation building.
Hon. Kadaga was addressing family and friends of the late Magada during a funeral service to celebrate his life at St Andrew’s Church, Bukoto on Wednesday 3rd August 2016.
“I thank Mzee Yowabu for educating his children to full capacity and increasing on the human capacity of this nation. He was a man of a humble beginnings,” Kadaga said.
Kagada described the Late Magada as a father; a friend and man who managed to hold his family together and always advised his mentees to never forget their roots.
Hon. Moses Kizige, Minister of State for Urban Planning and a son to the deceased told the mourners that their father was a disciplinarian.
“Our father raised us as God fearing children and we all had to be Boy Scouts and Girl Guides,” Hon Kizige said.
Kizige said that his father passed away on Friday 29th July 2016 as he returned from a medical checkup at Kampala international Hospital.
“Mzee complained of a persistent headache, we took him to hospital for checkup but as he returned home, he collapsed in the car seat and died,” he said.
