The former shadow cabinet minister of defense Hon Hassan Kaps Fungaroo has expressed his worry about the relationship and trust between Uganda and the Africa’s youngest nation South Sudan.
Speaking in an interview on NBS TV, the legislature highlighted how South Sudanese lack trust in the government intervention in the country.
“South Sudanese don’t trust Ugandans in mediation. Involvement of Uganda in their issues raises questions”
This comes a few days after the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni had said that Uganda shall be there to provide support to South Sudan in case they needed.
However though president Museveni emphasized the issue of South Sudan settling the insurgency as a state, still majority of Ugandans mostly on the opposition side have always been opposed to the plan of sending either delegates or troops to Juba.
Recently the group loyal to the former Vice President Dr. Riek Machar said how they never wanted any foreign intervention in the state.
