South Sudan accident kills eight, dozens injured


Eight people are said to have perished and thirty injured in a road accident involving two Ugandan buses in South Sudan.

According to Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed the incident and said that Uganda police has sent an ambulance to transport some of the injured people to Uganda for medication.

The buses belonging to Gateway Bus Company are said to have had a head-on collision in a sharp corner on the Nimule-Juba highway in Pageri village, Magwi County on Wednesday.



One of the buses was travelling from Kampala to Juba in South Sudan when it collided with the coach that was heading to Kampala from Juba.
