South Korea President Park Geun-Hye has arrived in Uganda for a three day state visit.
Park arrived at Entebbe international airport with her business delegation on Friday evening.
Hon. Sam K. Kutesa, the minister of Foreign Affairs, received her.
Park will hold bilateral talks with President Yoweri Museveni in a bid to boost of relations between Uganda and South Korea.
The huge business delegation contains representatives of at least 100 Korean companies.
South Korea is home to a few global companies including Samsung, Hyundai, Posco, KIA.
She becomes the first leader of South Korea to visit the country.
On May 31, the Turkish President, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also arrive with a business delegation of representatives of Turkish companies seeking business opportunities in Uganda.
Turkey has an official policy of ‘Opening up to Africa’ based on political and economic cooperation.
Both South Korea and Turkey have business ties in Uganda through the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI).
