Godfrey Tatu is said to have cut his father James Lwasa to death using a panga and a hoe. Tatu also seriously injured his 60- year-old mother, Maria Tereza.
Tatu had reportedly been given four acres from the whole chunk of family land by his father as his share. However, he sold his entire share and started demanding for more.
But when his father refused to give in to his demands, he threatened to deal with him.

In a dramatic move, Tatu after killing his father handed himself over to police seeking for protection from his incensed siblings who wanted to lynch him while his mother is fighting for her life in hospital.
