Leone Island self-proclaimed singing doctor, Jose Chameleone, was on Thursday night arrested and rushed to Kabalagala Police Station.
The Afrobeat and reggae musician, born Joseph Mayanja on 30 April 1979, had turned 36 years on the same day.
He organised a party at Club Cyclone in Kabalagala to celebrate his 36 years of existence.
Everything was going on perfectly until an ugly incident ruined the night.
As we have learnt, while Chameleone was seated and sipping drinks with his friends, some other partiers made their way towards his table.
Some confusion broke out prompting the intervention of management.
In the ensuing chaos, the owner of the bar, a one Danesh, insulted Chameleone’s wife, Daniela Atim.
“Chameleone lost his cool, broke glasses, bottles and chairs, turning the club inside out.”
“A fight then broke out, moved from Chameleone’s table and spread across the club,” the source said.
In return, the offended Indians, who own the club, sought the intervention of the police.
Chameleone was picked minutes later by detectives and whisked off to Kabalagala Police Station.
It took the intervention of events promoter, Balaam Barugahara, to secure a police bond for him.
Chameleone was then ready to hold the Wale Wale Concert at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds as earlier planned.
He is, however, expected to report to Kabalagala police where he faces charges of malicious damage to property and assault.
