Former coordinator of intelligence services Gen. David Sejusa has been arrested.
Sejusa was cornered by police on Wednesday in Wakaligga Rubaga division.
He was trying to access the home of Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
Lukwago and opposition leaders, especially from FDC, are currently confined to their homes.
Police says the confinement is a precautionary measure to prevent them from causing chaos.
The confinement is, however, in line with a court order and the government directive banning FDC’s defiance campaign activities.
While police spokesman Fred Enanga says the opposition chiefs are free to leave their homes, police has been restricting who goes to visit them.
Sejusa who was recently released from Luzira prison chose to call on Lukwago today, only to be blocked by the police.
It is not clear where he is being held at the writing of this article.
Journalists were also denied access to Lukwago’s residence.
Police says it is implementing the ban on the defiance activities.
