At least 34 Rwandan nationals have been denied entry into Uganda over security concerns.
The Rwandese whose planned destination was Kihindi landing site in Buikwe district were on Saturday blocked by Ugandan security operatives in grounds that some of their colleagues on landing site have already posed a security threat in Uganda by engaging in criminal activities and their admission would only escalate the problem.
The Rwandans who were in possession of a fishing boat and other fishing materials were deported back to Rwanda.
They were denied entry by security at the Rwanda- Uganda Katuna border.
The security team led by chairman Katuna border security committee Charles Mugabe intercepted the them on the bus.
Atleast 600 foreigners most of whom are of Rwandan origin have reportedly flocked Kihindi landing site on Lake.
Victoria and are involved in activities of illegal fishing.
