Pulkol: State threatening Amama witnesses

Go Forward security expert David Pulkol claims the state is threatening witnesses of former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi.

“I am a security expert. What is going on is not how security is dispensed. That’s why I question it.”

He said for example the person who attempted to attack the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe was declared a mad man after his death.

“When was he evaluated?”

“For how long will Kololo be a military garrison and not open space for celebrations and heroes?”

He said NRM claims that there is peace wondering what peace is without justice.

“Why is NRM silent on the injustices across the country?”

He further claims that the information found on affidavits taken from Amama Mbabazi petition lawyers’ offices is being used to threaten witnesses.

“Witnesses in Amama Mbabazi petition are being called by some people & told not to come to Kampala to make statements again after break-ins,” Pulkol revealed while appearing on NBS TV on Thursday.

He urged Ugandans to be concerned about the internal affairs of the NRM because “Their [NRM] stability is our stability”.

He then took a swing on NRM Electoral Commission saying its rigging found its way into Uganda Electoral Commission.

“Pre-ticked ballots, violence were rife in NRM primaries. Electoral Commission’s independence is only in its name. What we had last month can’t be called “elections”.”

He said for example, the problem Tanga Odoi [NRM EC boss] faced was the NRM internal culture that saw big wigs insist they must win.
