Police in Uganda has stormed a radio station and arrested two actvists for allegedly inciting violence.
The two activists had been hosted on a talkshow on a Jinja based radio station.
Acording to Jinja District Police Commander (DPC) Felix Mugizi, the two will be produced in court on Monday or Tuesday next week and charged with inviting violence.
Muguzi said the suspects have already recorded their statments at Jinja police station.
This comes just s day after two youths; Ferdinand Luta and Joseph Lukwago belonging to the same group were on Friday released from Luzira prison where they had been remanded for dumping 10 piglets at parliament a week ago.
The two were protesting government’s decision to give Shs200 million for each MP’s vehicle and the “indifference” of peoples’ representatives.
Buganda Road grade one magistrate Marion Mangeni released the two and warned them against engaging in any unlawful activists or they risked their bailing being cancelled.
