The Police in Kitgum have arrested three (3) suspects in relation to robberies registered in the district.
The deputy police spokesperson, Polly Namaye, identified the suspects as Muloni John, Adagwa Richard and Kidega Ivan.
The three (3) had planned a robbery on Stanbic Bank Kitgum branch, but Police intervened and arrested them.
On 14 Aug 16, unknown thugs armed with SMG robbed a shop at Lamit Village, Pager A Parish in Kitgum Municipality.
They fired three (03) bullets in the air and took off with unspecified amount of money.
On the same date, a Boda boda rider called Oloya, resident of Paibon Parish; Layamo Sub County was attacked by unknown thugs who hired him to take them to Amida Sub County, Kitgum District.
They hit him with a hammer and took off with his motorcycle.
On the same date, unknown thugs armed with a pistol attacked one Oyella Alice, resident of Tacho Village in Patongo Town Council, Agago District.
Sources indicated that the thugs had expected Alice to have come from Kampala with money for her construction work at home, but did not find any.
On a positive note however, the Police in Kitgum tracked and arrested three (3) suspects in relation to these robberies as they attempted to rob a Stanbic bank in Kitgum.
