Police foils Cranes players’ move to overthrow Magogo

Cranes players raid Fufa offices in Mengo

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations says calm has returned and operations resumed at Fufa house in Mengo.

Early Monday morning, senior Cranes players raided the offices in Mengo protesting President Moses Magogo’s presence and decisions made for the football governing body.

“The group of some of the former players is now under control following the intervention of DPC Old Kampala Charles Nsaba and his team.”

The group was led by George Semwogerere, Polly Ouma, Dan Walusimbi, Issa Sekatawa, Mathias Kawesa, Dan Mugabi, Obadiah Semakula and Nanik Muzamil.

The group vandalized the main door at the reception  that leads to various offices.

The matter is being handled by Police.

“We would like to inform our members, football stakeholders in Government and the Corporate world , sponsors and partners that our staff at FUFA House are on duty and ready to serve you,” Fufa said.
