Police has blocked former Presidential Candidate Kizza Besigye from leaving his home in Kasangati Wakiso district.
Police has been deployed at Besigye’s home ever since he returned from abroad on Monday.
On Tuesday, they cornered him in the city centre and drove him back to Kasangati.
Today morning, police officers blocked him from leaving his home on orders from their superiors.
“Happening just now: Kayihura Police officers say their orders are not to allow me out of my home at all- period! Impunity at its highest,” Besigye tweeted.
Speaking earlier, police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi hinted at Besigye being put under preventive arrest without giving details.
Besigye has condemned the act saying government is turning a political problem into a security problem inorder to curtail his movements.
