FDC presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye, is holding campaign rallies in Mbarara district Tuesday.

Besigye will address rallies today at Rubindi, Mwizi, Bugamba, Kinoni, and Bunenero trading centres.

His main rally will be at Boma grounds in Mbarara town.

Meanwhile, Mbarara DPC, Jaffar Magyezi, is wuoted saying they would not allow animals such as goats which are usually presented to Besigye on rallies as gifts.

Magyezi claims painting goats in party colors “violates the rights of animals”.

Besigye’s wife, Winnie Byanyima, in a Twitter message laughed at the ridiculous claim.

“Can you recall when police protected the rights of animals? Ever? Why can’t I dress my goat in a blue (or yellow) coat? Lol!” she put in.

Magyezi also warned that those planning to cause chaos in the town would be dealt with.

He further warned Besigye to stay away from Mbarara Referral hospital.

Besigye has been banned from visiting schools and hospitals wherever he goes.
