Police arrests two for shooting two of their officers dead


Police in Uganda has arrested two people in connection to an armed robbery of a hotel that left two officers dead.

According to Rwenzori East police spokesman, Manshur Sowed, two police constables; Danson Tweheyo, 29, who holds police number 5936 and Ronald Karemera,26, police number 56583 were shot on Monday morning by suspected robbers who attacked Simba Safari Camp and Tourist Hotel located at Kikorongo Sub County, in Katwekabatoro Division.

Police said the suspected robbers made off with the guns that were in possession of the deceased officers who who had been deployed to guard the hotel at the time of the attack.
