The three were arrested at the weekend by police following a tip of that they were planning for fresh attacks in the already shaken Rwenzori sub-region.
Bundibugyo District Police Commander, Martin Tukahebwa said the suspects were found in passion of Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) military equipment such as belts and boots.
According to Tukahebwa, they were also found in possession of dangerous weapons at Njanja Masaka in Mirambi Sub-County Bundibugyo district.
The arrest came just hours after, another royal guard was shot dead as he allegedly resisted arrest by police at Bigando, Hima in Kasese district on Saturday.
The incident left one police officer, Mr Amos Mutamba critically injured but was rushed to Kilembe hospital where he is still admitted while another royal guard, Mr Aloysius Ndungu was arrested and is in police custody.
