NTV in its #HelpRosemary campaign has collected over Shs 90m to help treat former employee, Rosemary Nankabirwa, who is suffering from cancer.
NTV staff, comedians, Members of Parliament, musicians and journalists all gathered at Serena hotel in Kampala to help wash cars and raise the needed Shs 100m that will help her get treatment outside the country.
Aggie Konde, the Managing Director of NTV Uganda, says they have hired a special plane which flew her to the Kenyan capital Nairobi where she is currently receiving treatment.
She has been for some time now admitted at Mulago heart and cancer institute.
President Yoweri Museveni contributed Shs 5m to #HelpRosemary’s fight against Cancer Car Wash fundraising event.
The President’s contribution was in cash which was delivered to the venue.
Konde plays that Rosemary recovers with all the people’s prayers.
