Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has extended the contract of head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević for three years.
Addressing the media during the weekly press conference at the federation headquarters in Mengo, Kampala on Wednesday, FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo announced Micho’s new contract.
“I hereby announce the extension of Coach Micho’s contract by three years. There are parameters we have used to award the coach an extension. He has registered 60 percent success in the matches he has handled. We need continuity to consolidate on the laid plans of achieving success in line with the upcoming competitions of AFCON, CHAN, and CECAFA,” Magogo said.
Micho has handed the Uganda Cranes in 35 matches registering 18 victories, 5 draws and 12 losses.
Micho in his submission has acknowledged the support of all Ugandans in his role as head coach.
“I thank all the administrators, fans, media for the support accorded in my line of duty. I love this nation. I have a life contract in this country, with the people of this country, kept in the deepest part of my heart. Where we need correction, I call upon everyone’s advise. We also need to bring on board the talented Ugandans from whichever part of the globe,” Micho highlighted in his brief speech.
The new contract of Micho takes effect on 1st May 2015.
