Buganda Prime Minister, Peter Mayiga, appears in innocent pictures giving a light shoulder massage to Uganda’s water reservoir, Desire Luzinda.
The photos were shared by Desire herself with words: “And guess who was in the salon too, the katikiro of Buganda.”
Desire further described Mayiga as a “people’s person, sophisticated and the list goes on”.
Repeating “Sabasajja awangale (May the King live longer)”, Desire seems so exhilarated by Mayiga’s kind gesture.
Desire claims that the hair she did in front of Mayiga was the best touch she has ever received.
“Andrea did an amazing job today. Thanks for the amazing touch. I won’t have to worry about my hair till the tour is done.”
As for the massage, it was an innocent touch through which Mayiga expressed his friendship with Desire and not something to alarm as several Ugandans are already interpreting the incident.
Buganda loyalists have started interpreting the incident as inappropriate while other Ugandans believe that the Katikiro did a good thing to support a fellow Ugandan.
Both Mayiga and Desire were in United States for the Twegaite Convention organized by Basoga in diaspora.
Desire even visited Seattle, Boston and Minnesota, among other cities.
