President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon graced the thanksgiving service for Youth Minister, Hon. Anite Evelyn, at Koboko Secondary School grounds.
“Anite has a very important but challenging task. She can do it because she is disciplined and hardworking,” he said.
He told the Youth that being economical is part of the discipline of success.
“Anite who is a very active girl has a very important assignment, encourage useful, economical youth.”
He said the Youth were the majority and if they well oriented, Uganda will have a great future.
“For me, I don’t accept colonial logic, I use African logic. That is why we are working on uniting Africa.”
He counselled the youth not to engage in illicit sexual behaviours, saying “don’t get sick because of Umalaya (prostitution), we don’t have a vaccine for that one”.
Regarding Operation Wealth Creation, the President said in addition to food, every home should have an income generating activity.
Also present at the function was Anite’s rivals for the Koboko Woman MP seat in 2016, Margaret Babadiri.
Anite is ready to run against Babadiri in the next elections.
The Youthful minister is famed for spearheading the Kyankwanzi sole candidate project that will see Museveni represent the ruling party, NRM in 2016 elections.
