The Committee on Equal Opportunities has set off to check on Ugandans working for the various companies that take people to Dubai and Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates.
This comes at a time when there are many complaints that have been filed against the issue of taking Ugandans to work in diaspora in the aspect of very poor welfare offered when they get to their work places.
The Members of Parliament on this committee chaired by Honourable Mohammed Nsereko heed to all call of both the Ugandans that have jobs in the Arab countries alongside their relatives.
Many Ugandans have chosen to head out to the Arab countries in the bid to beat the problem of unemployment by working as security guards, housemaids amongst other jobs.
“We shall also look out for opportunities for Ugandans,” said Hon. Mohammed Nsereko, the Chairman of the Committee on Equal Opportunities in a post on his Facebook page in affirmation of the journey his colleagues and he have ahead of them.
This is bound to create a clear background check about the allegations that have been made about the working situation of those taken to work in these Arab countries, which will definitely iron out issues.
