Opinion: Ugandan artistes are good but Nigerians are better

PSquare won Artist Of The Decade Award

Let the truth be told: Ugandan artistes are Good but Nigerians are better.

Nigerians won seven awards including ‘Best Male Act’, ‘Best Female Act’, ‘Evolution Award’, ‘Best New Act’, ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Collaboration of the year’, ‘Best Group’ by Davido, Yemi Alade, D’Banj, Patoranking, Mavins, AKA and Burna Boy, P-Square respectively.

Let’s be honest, both Dr. Chameleon and Bebe Cool did us proud by being nominated in the MTV Mama awards, but they just couldn’t match the “big” boys.

Our boys, need to do music collabos with top international artists to become more popular.

This has worked for Diamond Platinum, P-Squad etc.

Local artists, should also learn how to respect each other.

So what, if Eddy Kenzo received his award under a jack fruit (fene) tree? Is he not a Ugandan?

Whether you voted or refused to vote for Chameleon and Bebe Cool, its Uganda at the end of the day that lost.

Nigerian TV and Radio stations, are now busy praising their artists for winning several awards, while we are busy “mourning.”
