Kasese’s beauty is engulfed in God given natural resources and the hospitality of the people.
However on several occasions Kasese has fallen trap of its past aims and objectives of which we as the Bakonzo let go.
It is true that the first king of Rwenzuru Isaiah Mukirania was a strong and ambitious leader with hopes of creating a new state because he believed that we were then marginalized. It is also true that he died before creating one. It is at this point that every individual who so much liked a new state withdrew and appreciated being part of wider Uganda.
#Note: When a person cannot challenge your present success, he/she will always dig deep in your history so that he/she uses your historical weakness to fight you today. We are suffering a historical death which has been resurrected by opportunistic individuals.
The people of kasese have always proved their love for Uganda by being strong advocates in demanding for peaceful transition of power and fundamental change of the political system.
It is important to note that Kasese’s political stand today has left some selfish political failure’s hands tied and the only way to be recognised again by government, is to feed government on wrong information basing on the past weaknesses of our forefathers’ dream of forming a new state which was withdrawn since the main actor died.
I strongly believe that innocent lives are being butchered and gunned in cold blood. I can’t stand the shame of seeing fully armed UPDF soldiers, for whom I thought they understand the Law, shooting at unarmed royal guards.
I can’t stand to see the beautiful and well gifted district being distorted.
True, man may not understand the truth of the matter since most Rwenzori people have not got a chance to give our side of the story. Am aware that truth and sincerity are the first casualties of a crisis.
But I tell you countrymen, that God is watching each step that is being taken to distract kasese, and no one shall succeed. Be strong and courageous for the Lord is with us. We shall overcome. Have a blessed Sunday. #Stand4Peace
