Masaka High Court has nullified the election of Cissy Namujju, the Lwengo woman Member of Parliament on account of forged academic papers.
Martin Kizito Sserwanga, a resident of Bunga in Kampala dragged Namujju to court for lack of the requisite academic qualifications to be a member of parliament.

Uganda Radio Network reports a dramatic scene that ensured in court during the cross examination of Namujju on Thursday.
Namujju appeared before Justice Margaret Tibulya for cross examination by Kizito’s lawyer Asuman Basalirwa.
Basalirwa first asked Namujju to give a brief background of education starting with primary.
He asked her to tell court when she sat her Primary Leaving Examination and how she performed in each of the four subjects.
In her response, Namujju told court she sat PLE in 1996 and obtained 30 points.
She however, said she could not remember the scores of each of the subjects.
This prompted Basalirwa to ask Namujju selected questions from primary.
He asked Namujju to define pollination, explain the difference between a Noun and Verb, and tell court who discovered the source of River Nile.
He also asked her to explain crop-rotation, what a map is and mulching.
The legislator reportedly looked at the roof, the windows, the magistrate, the floor, “everywhere” but still failed to produce a single answer to the asked questions.
Court ruled that she had forged the academic papers and never acquired the credentials she claims to possess.
