Director of Communications in parliament Chris Obore and government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo have clashed over creation of new district procedure.
This was after Ofwono said parliament was partly to blame for the creation of new districts in the country, which has in turn compromised service in those new districts due to shortage of funds for operations.
However, Obore while appearing on Capital Gang argued that creation of new districts often originates from government.
The movers of motions to create new districts are often ministers and local government agencies like local councils according to Obore.
This comes on the heels of a petition filed in court against parliament for creation of 23 new districts.
But Obore, said the petitioners sued a wrong party (parliament).
According to him, the petitioners should have sued the Attorney General since even president Museveni recently admitted before parliament that he was to blame for creation of new districts in the run before February 18 general elections.
