National Social Security Fund (NSSF) deputy managing director Geraldine Ssali has been suspended.
According to a note by management, Ms Ssali was suspended for gross insubordination by the board in a meeting held on March 14, 2016.
According to the board, she breached the Fund’s Human Resource Code of Conduct.
She is currently on suspension until the board devises a disciplinary measure against her.
While she is on suspension, the board continued, Ms Ssali is not allowed to conduct business on behalf of the Fund.
She was first appointed to that position on 20 March 2011 by Finance Minister Syda Bbumba.
On 29 October 2014, she was re-appointed to the same position after a ten-month period when she served as acting managing director.
