Hon Mulindwa Isaac Ssozi arrives at Parliament for his swearing in on May 17, 2016

Court has thrown out of Parliament a ruling NRM party MP Isaac Mulindwa Ssozi Lugazi for possession of fake papers.

Mulindwa was representing Lugazi Municipality in Buikwe district.

Jinja High Court threw out the legislator in ruling delivered on Monday.

In September last year, a one Dr. Nabatanzi Lugudde accused Isaac Ssozi Mulindwa of using different names while being nominated which is illegal.

She told the NRM electoral commission chairman Tanga Odoi that Ssozi used the names of Hassan Mulindwa, another person, to stand for the same seat.

Court found out that Mulindwa actually doesn’t have his personal academic documents.

He was asked to produce his Primary Leaving Examinations [PLE] certificate which he failed to do.

It was also noted that Mulindwa had no identification confirming him as a citizen of Uganda.

“He has been using the certificate of a one Mulindwa Hassan,” Lugudde who was pursuing a parliamentary seat in February elections told press after the ruling.

“He doesn’t have a PLE certificate nor does he have an ID.”
