Nakandi was Thursday morning paraded by FDC presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye, at a news conference held at his Kasangati home.
The last concluded NRM primaries in Bukomansimbi saw Shafik Mwanje beating Hajji Iddi Lubyayi Kisiki and Joseph Kakooza.
Mwanje, also a Person With Disability (blind) got a sympathy vote that saw him on top of the race with 95 votes.
Kakooza got 53 votes, while Lubyayi ended in the third position with 29 votes.
Lubyayi’s campaign team defected claiming he had neglected them for a long time.
Salama Nakandi, on the other hand, dropped out of the race having already paid nomination fees.
“I’m tired of corruption in NRM,” she told press today.
Nakandi is a student of Islamic University in Uganda on state house sponsorship.
