President Yoweri Museveni addressed his first rally at Kayombo Technical School, Kitagwenda constituency in Kamwenge district, On Tuesday.
The president said he was happy that there is electricity in the district.
“I remember I used to tell you that you would get electricity but you seemed not to believe me.”
“Now you have electricity,” he said, reminding supporters to believe in NRM as their party and one that delivers.
“It will now be extended to Kanaala, Kahungye, Igarama, Kabuga, Rushozi, Bwiizi, Ibanda, Bukurungu and Rwenshama.”
The Kamwenge-Kamujwegyera-Ibanda road and the Bwizibwera-Ihanga-Buhweju-Isiika road will be tarmacked, he pleged.
The Kamwenge-Fort Portal road is still under construction.
It had a few issues but government will take it up and complete it, Museveni explained.
Also to be tarmarcked is the Kamwenge-Dulamwini road, the Kyenjojo-Kananare road and the Kashozi-Buremba- Kaliro road.
“The biggest debt we still have here is building a hospital for the district. You already have the constituency health centres. “
He recalled that Kamwenge has only one parish without a government primary school and two subcounties without a government secondary school.
He also promised to address that problem.
The president had six rallies in; Kitagwenda County, Kibaale County, two rallies in Burahya County and two rallies in Fort Portal Municipality.
