The Democratic Party president Norbert Mao has said it is very difficult for poor Ugandans to get justice.
Speaking about the recent Killings/ shootings in Lugogo, Norbert Mao also said the scales of justice are titled for the people with power.
“Most Ugandans believe the scales of justice are tilted towards those who are well connected.” said Mao.
While appearing on NBS Television talk show the Frontline, Mao also added that the police in Uganda is unquestionable, can’t find the truth and are also answerable to individuals. The police do answer tothe people of Uganda which os something that has killed police relationship with the public.
Several people have been murdered in Uganda and the answer that has always come from the police is ‘investigations are underway’ till people finally give up on cases.
Last week, Kenneth Akena, a social worker was killed by one Mathew Kanyamunyu for allegedly scratching a car at Lugogo.
