Forum for Democratic change (FDC) party president Mugisha Muntu has Thursday named a Shadow Cabinet to serve in the 10th parliament.
He picked Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kiiza as the new leader of opposition in parliament (LoP) replacing Wafula Oguttu.
Muntu also named the party spokesperson, Ssemuju Ibrahim Nganda, as the Opposition chief whip replacing Dokolo Woman MP Hon Cecilia Ogwal.
Ogwal, on the other hand, was appointed the opposition commissioner of parliament.
This follows a week of disagreements, accusations and counter accusations.
On Tuesday, a group of radicals attacked the party head offices in Najjanankumbi to force the National Executive Committee (NEC) suspend the choice of LoP.
They were instead arrested and locked away.
The party is currently divided into groups; one is pushing for the rescue of Kizza Besigye from Luzira prisons while the other is pushing for a shadow cabinet to rival the ruling party in parliament.
The naming of a shadow cabinet today confirms that FDC lost 2016 elections to President Yoweri Museveni.
